She was a mother, a wife, a sister, an aunt, to me she was my grandmother and to me she was amazing. My name is Daniela and I am the second eldest grandchild. Though it difficult to exactly reflect her through my eyes, I can tell you a little about her. She grew up in Chile, South America and in 1977 she made her way over to Rochester, New York with her husband Francesco, of 53 years, along with their 6 children, Gina, Jose Luis, Mariela, Frank, Sandra, and Carmen. They made their life here raising their children who learned from their beautiful parents to raise 8 beautiful grandchildren; Nicholas, Daniela, Alicia, Brian, Julia, Kevin, Eric, and Adriana., who called her 'Gama'. Her passing is very difficult for us, as we recall her in our daily activities. To my grandmother, family and faith was her passion. She taught by example, she subtly encouraged the word of the lord and she, without noticing, became one of the biggest influences in my life. Her passing, though difficult to go through, was once again made easier to understand because of her. Her faith was so strong and so pure that we can let her go and love her from afar. My grandmother will be present in each of my cousins facial expressions, in our actions and her memory lives on with us and our parents. I'll miss her laugh, her words of wisdom, her tongue-twisters, her food and her smile, but, her patience and love is something I will adore for the rest of my life. I can speak for everyone when I say that this strong, independent, beautiful woman will be missed but her legacy will live on. I love you 'Gama'. Todos te quieremos y siguiras in nuestros corazones.
