Her entombment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Remembering Margaret Ann Fragnito Margaret was born on December 19, 1941 in Rochester, NY to parents Michael and Elizabeth Fasano. Her father was a machinist and realtor who was passionate about hunting and fishing. Her mother was a factory worker and homemaker. Their family also included Margaret's brother, Daniel, and sister, Dianne. Margaret graduated from Jefferson High School here in the City of Rochester. Though she was once tempted to drop out of science summer school, the teacher encouraged her to stick with it and persevere so she should apply to beauty school and become a hairdresser. Margaret completed her class and went on to excel in beauty school. After establishing herself as a successful hairdresser, Margaret owned and operated her own bridal salon, La Mirage Bridal and Formal Wear. Margaret was involved in her local community. She was a founding member of the Gift Shop Auxiliary at Park Ridge Hospital, the treasurer for GPAS (the Greece Performing Arts Society), and an active member of the Italian Women's Civic Club. In her free time, she took joy in gardening, reading, and collecting hats. During her time in high school, Margaret met her husband, Patsy Fragnito. Together, they had two children, Dean and Lynette. Margaret's family was the most important thing in her life, and she treasured her time with them. Sadly, both Patsy and Lynette predeceased her. Coping with these losses was Margaret's greatest challenge in life. Even in these times of darkness, she endured and carried on with strength and determination. Margaret valued her independence and loved having her own space with all the comforts it provided. She was spunky and opinionated, too - fearless in spite of her small stature. Margaret loved going out to eat with her friends and family, as well as entertaining guests and cooking for them. She liked colorful and exciting outfits and was known for her unique sense of style. She was a fan of cooking shows, the History and Discovery channels, soccer, and QVC. Margaret appreciated musical theatre and was known for putting on extravagant bridal shows. In the words of her family, "She did it Her way."
