April 4, 2026. Margaret is predeceased by her son, Shawn Kogler; parents, Shirley & Joseph Ziegler; sister, Patty Ziegler. She is survived by her life partner, Tim Williams, daughter, Carrie (Mark Rector) Cacia; grandchildren, Randi (Alex) Wasmuth, Mariah Eccleston, Jake Eccleston, Matteson Cacia, Alina Cacia, Drew Kogler, Adam Kogler & Kara Kogler; great-grandson, Silas Wasmuth; siblings, Joe (Shelley) Ziegler, Rich (Karen) Ziegler, Barb (Jamie) Piatt & Carol (Mike Bamann) Ziegler.
Marge grew up in Irondequoit where she attended St. Thomas the Apostle School and West Irondequoit High School. In high school she was an accomplished seamstress and showcased some of her dresses in a fashion show.
Marge worked her way up the corporate ladder at Xerox and retired after 28 years. During retirement, she enjoyed traveling often, by boat, with her significant other, Tim.They enjoyed exploring many waterways including: Tortola, St. Thomas, Ft. Lauderdale, the entire east coast, Erie Canal, Oswego Canal, St. Lawrence Seaway and Lake Ontario. Marge and Tim welcomed everyone to the boat and their grandkids often stayed overnight.
Marge was always a caretaker and is known for her great cooking including: sauce, cookies, and “hobo” dinner on the boat grill.
Margaret’s life story will be shared during visitation 3:00-6:00pm on Saturday, April 18th at the funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her graveside prayer service will be 10:00am on Sunday April 19th at Fairfield Cemetery.
