A Life Full of Love, Laughter, and Service

Born on February 3, 1937, in Pittston, Pennsylvania, Marie moved to Rochester, New York, with her parents and siblings. She worked in the food service industry before making a significant impact during her time at Kodak. In addition to her professional achievements, Marie’s life was defined by the love she had for her family and her caring nature as a devoted mother and caretaker.

Marie’s heart was always with her family. She cherished her role as a mother and especially enjoyed the holidays spent at her parents’ home, where family traditions and love abounded. She was especially proud of her 50th Anniversary party, a milestone that exemplified the deep bond she shared with her late husband, Ernest. Marie’s love for family extended to her grandchildren, Dimitri and Addison, whom she adored with all her heart.

A Strong, Compassionate Personality

Marie was known for her strong personality and her genuine care for others. She was a natural caretaker, often worrying about her loved ones but always offering support and comfort when needed. Her generosity and ability to make others feel loved and important were at the heart of everything she did.

In addition to her nurturing nature, Marie had a playful side. She loved pulling practical jokes on her friends, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. She also enjoyed time with her friends on Rockview Terrace, playing cards with her “crew”—Joe, Shirley, Carl, Nancy, Joyce, Joe, and Frannie. The memories of those fun-filled moments will stay with them forever.

Passion for Life’s Simple Pleasures

Marie’s passions were wide and varied. She loved traveling with her family and friends, creating lasting memories along the way. Whether it was exploring new destinations or sharing a quiet moment with those she loved, Marie found joy in the little things that made life special.

She was also a dedicated sports fan, with a particular love for the Buffalo Bills. Her competitive spirit extended to her love of bowling and golfing, activities that she enjoyed in the company of friends and family. Her involvement with the church was another cornerstone of her life, providing her with both spiritual fulfillment and a strong sense of community.

Final Farewell

Marie’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, humor, and dedication to family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have been touched by her life.

Marie’s beloved childhood dog, Penny, was a special companion to her in her early years, and she will forever be remembered as a kind, caring, and vibrant soul.
