Greece: June 27, 2015. Marie is predeceased by her husband, Patrick Palumbo. She is survived by her children, Maria (Michael Lambrix) Bouchey, Carol (Larry Wilbur) Palumbo, Lisa (Ken) Pliszka and Patrick (Debbie) Palumbo; grandchildren, Jason Jarrad Bouchey, Melissa, Nicole, Tatum, Colton Cheyanna Palumbo, Brian, Jillian Emily Wilbur, Alison Sam Pliszka, George Andrew Lambrix; sister, Jeannette (Eugene) O'Buck; several nieces nephews. She was retired from M T Bank, where she worked as a Teller. Marie's visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-8PM the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30AM on Wednesday at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be sent to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse NY 13220-3049 in Marie's memory. Marie was born on June 1, 1931, daughter to Saverio Genevieve Brigito. She graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and spending leisure time with them. Her favorite vacation was to Italy, where she toured the country. In recent years Marie was very active, she attended monthly meetings with the St. John's widow/widower group also was a member of a local cardplaying club. In retirement Marie became very active by volunteering with various community organizations. She attended the YMCA six days a week and volunteered with their senior ambassador committee. She also volunteered at Unity Hospital's Senior Housing the Town of Greece Senior Center, where she assisted making appointments for tax consultations. While interacting in these activities, everyone valued her great sense of humor. Most importantly, Marie cherished spending time with her grandchildren, they will miss her presence but will carry her memory with them.
