Survived by children, Mario Jr. (Nancy) Milizia, Karen (Kevin) Corke, Joe Milizia, John (Catherine) Milizia; grandchildren, Lisa Corke, Mathew (Cristina) Milizia, Peter (Sherene) Milizia, Jason Corke, Matthew Corke, Ashley( fiancé Andrew Klahr) Milizia, Caitlin Milizia, Shelby Milizia Christopher Milizia; great-granddaughter, Emma Milizia; sisters, Yolanda "Vee" Swartz Fanny LaForty; sisters- in-law, Nicki Gionta Rosie Rose. Mario was a WWII veteran. Special thanks to the fourth floor caregivers at the Episcopal Home for the attention given to Mario. Mario's visitation will be 1-5 pm Sunday at Bartolomeo Perotto Funeral Home, Inc., 1411 Vintage Lane (between Long Pond Rd. 390). His funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at St. Lawrence Church 1000 N. Greece Rd. Rochester. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made be made to Episcopal Home , 505 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620 in Mario's memory. Mario was born on May 13th 1921in Rochester, NY. He grew up in the Cornhill neighborhood and enjoyed typical boyhood mischief. Mario met his wife while visiting Canistota, they were married on October 29th 1949 at St. Agatha's Church. Mario was a 40 year Teamster member of Local 118. He worked as a truck driver for Emerson Fuel, ending his career in Heating Cooling. Mario was a WWII Navy Veteran of the USS Euryale. He enjoyed attending WWII Navy veteran reunions, as well as fishing, traveling to Las Vegas and going to Tianello family gatherings. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, western movies and various war movies. He liked listening to Italian music by Mario Lanza, playing games of Chance, bowling, gardening and going out for breakfast. Family and friends would describe Mario as fun and having a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
