Mark J. Vahue, Sr. Greece- October 17, 2018. Predeceased by his sons, Mark Jr. Tim Vahue; parents, Charles Mary Vahue; mother father-in-law, Seamus Betty McDonald; brother-in-law, Jim Bell. Mark is survived by his wife, Maureen; daughter, Meagan Vahue; grandson, Jackson Vahue; sister, Judy (Bill Pulver) Cheng; sister-in-law, Beverly Bell; Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces great-nephews. Mark's life story will be shared at his visitation Sunday, October 21, 2018 1-5PM at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rt. 390 Long Pond Rd.). Mark's life will be celebrated Monday, October 22, 10:30 AM at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society, 1120 S Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14620, in his memory. Mark grew up in the tenth ward neighborhood where he played baseball, attended and graduated from Marshall Highschool. Mark met the love of his life, Maureen while working at Ace Drycleaners. He was very persistent and eventually convinced her to go on a date with him. They would go on to date for 2 years, marry and have 3 children; daughter, Meagan and 2 sons, Mark and Tim. They shared over 43 loving years together. Mark enjoyed cooking for family, he enjoyed family parties, holidays, playing with kids in the yard and just drinking a cold coors. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns Notre Dame, loved watching shows like Seinfeld, The Walking Dead and Kramer. Some of his favorite music to listen to was 60's 70's rock or Bob Marley. Mark will be remembered for his sense of humor, smiling face, helpful, caring happy personality. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
