Early on, Marlene worked at Bausch & Lomb, and then worked for more than 25 years at Kodak as an Executive Assistant. She was very close with her mother and sisters, getting together with family whenever possible. She enjoyed Sunday sauce with family and making extra time for family that came in from out of town. The same rang true for friends, often meeting out for coffee at Izzy's on Latta Rd. or Dunkin Donuts on Dewey.
She also loved physical fitness, spending time on the water, and was an avid Bill's fan. Marlene loved Elvis, Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra music, Turner classics and Carey Grant movies. Her favorite TV programs were Me TV and Modern Family.
Marlene was independent, out-spoken and very honest, almost to a fault! She was a neat, organized and task-oriented person. Young-at-heart, Marlene was active, always on the go and very social.
Marlene's visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). Her funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, 11 AM at the funeral home. Her interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Jude's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Marlene's memory.
