History She is survived by her five children, John (Vicky), Carol, Robert (Barbara), Rosemary Mawn, Theresa Grana (George) and 11grandchildren. Donations In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlyn's memory may be sent to the School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Parkway, Rochester, NY 14623 and/or the Northwest YMCA, 730 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14612. Services Marlyn's visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 2400 W Ridge Rd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Additional Information Marlyn was a wonderful and compassionate person, a friend to all. Throughout her life, Marlyn generously gave her time and resources to her family, community and to numerous charitable organizations. She was an active member of the Northwest YMCA. Marlyn was a master seamstress and a member of the Linus Club, a group of women who donated their time and sewing talent, who produced countless blankets and quilts for the needy, expectant mothers, elderly and ill. She was the 2009 Town of Greece's Chamber of Commerce Senior Citizen of the Year. Above all, she was a staunch advocate for the unborn. It is said that when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Marlyn was a treasure; she will be missed by many, especially those who called her Grandmommy. The family would like to thank both the Wilmot Cancer Center and the 2600 Unit at Unity Hospital for their efforts. A special thanks to Dr. John Robb and his staff for their care and dedication.
