Dailey, Marty Pittsford: March 26, 2017 Died peacefully surrounded by his family at age 67. He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne "Sue" Dailey; children, Jeff (Danielle) Dailey, Kelly (Brian) Wemett, Lori (Jeff Fender) Whipple, Katie (Steven) Wilson, Beth Whipple; grandchildren, Griffin Dailey, Lilah Dailey, Cloe Wemett, Kiya Wemett, Brandon Berl, Evan Wilson; brothers & sisters, Chari (Fran) Prunoske, Chris Barron, Terri (Mark) White, Tom (Sue) Dailey, Becky Ellis, Kathy (John) Johnson; several nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Marty was born on December 12, 1949 to Bud & Helen Dailey in Hornell, NY. He grew up with many siblings; Chari, Kathy, Chris, Tommy, Timmy, Terri and Becky. During his childhood, Marty had a paper route, he liked Lionel trains, enjoyed ice skating and sledding on toboggan's. When Marty was a teenager he was a member of the Moose Club and had an apprenticeship in Quality Control. He spent time hunting and playing football, it was also during this time when he met his first wife Melody. Marty graduated from high school, married Melody and began a career in Quality Control. They went on to have two children, Jeff and Kelly and had many pets through the years. Most notably, their dog Molly, as she would dive for rocks. Later on, Marty met and married Sue, in which he gained three step-daughters, Katie, Lori and Beth. Marty's fondness for trains grew and he brought his interests into his marriage with Sue. He had a table of Ho trains and built scenery, bridges, etc.. Marty and Sue had a great time with his train hobby and enjoyed 19 years of marriage together. Marty's children cherish their childhood memories of traveling to Disney World and going on camping trips. He and Sue also had many wonderful camping trips together with lots of fishing. Marty liked participating in Moose Club competitions. He also enjoyed watching football and his favorite team was the Cleveland Browns. Marty had a saying, "There are just so many perfect heads and the rest have hair." Marty was described as outgoing with a very strong personality. He was a generous man who was a jokester and simply loved life. Marty will be dearly missed and his memory will always be cherished by his family and friends.
