Mary was born April 5, 1917 to her proud parents John Requilda D'Amico. She grew up on Troup St. Directly across from her families parish at St. Lucy's Church.
Mary was daring and enjoyed taking risks during her life. this was evident at an early age with her interest in gymnastics and roller skating.
During her teen years she enjoyed playing the piano and swimming. Her daring nature once again could be witnessed at the end of a diving board.
Mary graduated from Madison High School. It was here she met the love of her life Sam. The two became High School sweethearts.
Mary had a special way about her. She had the keen ability to be able to make someone feel during a conversation that they were the only person that mattered. Mary was generous, considerate, kept current on local and world events, strong willed and fiercely independent.
Their was an ironic twist to her as well. Once you entered her home everything was kept immaculate and she went out of her way to treat her guests warmly but yet very properly. Place settings, how her home was presented and her personal appearance were always top notch.
Mary always went out of her way for family and friends. She was quick to invite you over for dinner. Mary made it a point to be aware of goings on in the lives of people she cared about. She most enjoyed celebrating her family members birthday's.
Mary was a doting grandmother and a very supportive mother. She made certain that daughter Julie was exposed to all life had to offer.
She was loved and will be missed by many.
