GREECE - Surrounded by family, December 20, 2019. Michelina was called into God's loving arms. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Ragusa; her parents, Salvatore Adolorada Tramontana. She is survived by her children, Mary C. (Robert) Bellanti, Alba D. (Anthony F.) Alonci Sylvester (Patricia) Ragusa; grandchildren, Salvatore (Andrea) Alonci, Tony (Lydia) Alonci, Michael (Rozalin) Alonci, Jenna (Brian) Sprague, Lisa (Nate Marzullo) Bellanti, Charlie (Marissa) Ragusa Joanna Bellanti; great-grandchildren, Anthony Alonci, Nathan Alonci, Jeffrey Pyles, Lena Sprague, Carly Sprague, Alex Alonci, Dexter Alonci, Jaxon Alonci, Anna Alonci, Anthony Alonci; brother, Pasquale (Maria) Tramontana of Italy; niece, Marina (Enzo) Gallo; several nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends. Special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers whom assisted Michelina, Cheryl, Brenda, Kathy, Natasha Dr. Anthony Ragusa his staff. Michelina's Life Story will be shared during her visitation 2-4 6-8pm on Sunday, December 29th at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.). A prayer service will follow visitation, at 8:00 pm on Sunday. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Monday, December 30th at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 Ridge Rd. W., immediately followed by her entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in Michelina's memory. Michelina was born July 3, 1931 in Caltinasetta, Italy to Salvatore Tramontana Addolata Maria Scarfia. Growing up in Caltinasetta her upbringing was shaped but the nuns that helped to raise her. Michelina went to trade school to be a tailor/seamstress. She worked with her future husband, Salvatore Ragusa, in his tailor shop. In 1961 she moved to the US on a work visa and took a job at Bonds. Salvatore used to say "She is not only my wife, she is my life" and Michelina would say "Salvatore really loved me." After their marriage in 1954, they had 3 children; Mary, Alba Sylvester. Michelina loved to spend time with her family, especially preparing meals at the holidays, her table was always full. She loved palm trees and watching Disney, she became a kid again. Her house was always clean and her garden was always tended to. She loved gardening, it was her favorite activity. Michelina was a generous woman with a great sense of humor and so much love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
