Destiny was born on June 30, 1975 in Philadelphia, PA to Donald and Cathleen VanHook. She had 9 siblings, Donna, Alethea, Alicia, Monica, Amaris, Safiya, Jessica, Sherifia, and Donald. As a youngster, she enjoyed cooking and playing with other children. Destiny obtained her Associates Degree and worked as a paralegal. Destiny loved animals, especially Rottweilers. She liked family gatherings and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Her favorite player was Troy Pallamalu. Family and friends would best describe Destiny as a loving, caring, devoted mother, daughter, sister, and wife who would give you anything. She will be greatly missed.
