Webster: After a short illness Nick passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the age of 94. He was born in Oryol, Russia, May 1, 1920. He emigrated with his wife and two children to America on January 22, 1951. He was a resident of Bronx Yonkers, NY. He retired from Otis Elevator and moved to Webster, NY in 1985. Nick is survived by his loving wife of over 69 years, Toni Optis; loving children, son Alexander Optis of Old Forge, Elisabeth "Lisa" (Bob) Maves of Fairport, Katherine (Greg) Hanno of Dallas, Texas, Anya (Bob Lukas) Park of Charleston, SC, Nickolas "Nick" (Christine) Optis of Fairport; grandchildren: Philippe Maves, Brendan, Michael, Jonathan (Michelle), Kate Marie Optis, Christopher (Kendall) Hanno, Alexander (Lindsay) Hanno, Michael, Alexander Park, Nickolas Michael Optis; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Optis. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses staff at RGH 5th floor and the caring nurses staff at the Leo Center 4th floor. Arrangements will be private at a future date.
