Church of Christ. History Norma Jean Auble February 19, 1940 - April 2, 2008 Formerly Norma Jean Henderson Formerly Norma Jean Clampet Norma Jean Auble was born Norma Jean Clampet to Arnold and Paralea Clampet in Haworth, Oklahoma on February 19, 1940. She had two younger sisters, May Ola (Dickie) England and Judy Stanton. When Norma was 11 she was baptized at the Idabel Church of Christ and her devotion to Christ and membership in the Church of Christ would define her for the rest of her life. She grew up in Idabel, Oklahoma and graduated from Idabel High School in 1958. Norma continued her schooling at Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tennessee where she met Reginald Henderson, Jr. She graduated with an Associates Degree and she and Reg married in May of 1960. They moved to Nashville where Norma worked as a secretary for the Vanderbilt Law Review and Reg pursued his bachelor's degree from David Lipscomb College. After Reg graduated they moved to Arkansas for one year where Reg became the preacher of the Marianna Church of Christ. In 1962 they had their first child, Reginald Henderson, III. They next moved to Chicago for one year and Reg preached for the Northside Church of Christ. In 1964 Norma and Reg moved to Rochester, NY where Reg's parents lived. They placed membership at the Lawson Road Church of Christ and the members there would become Norma's devoted family for the rest of her life. In 1965 her daughter Alisa Waters was born. In 1967 Norma's family moved from a rental house in the city to a home in the suburban town of Greece. In 1968 her son Arnold Henderson was born. In 1973 her daughter Rachel was born. All of her children were baptized at the Lawson Road Church of Christ. Norma returned to full time work in outside of the home in when she began working as a secretary at Greece Olympia High School around 1988 where she worked until 1998. Norma was divorced from Reg Henderson in 1992. Norma met Rich Auble at the Lawson Road Church of Christ and in July of 1996 they were married. Norma's first grandchild Matthew Henderson was born to her son Arnold on December 26, 1992. Shawn was born to her son Reggie in 1993. Arnold had a daughter, Marissa in 1996. Rachel had a son, Patrick Mitchem, in 1997. Alisa had two daughters; Kaitlin in 2002 and Megan in 2005. In 2004 Norma began working as the secretary for the Lawson Road Church of Christ which she did until her passing. Norma began being treated for a leaky heart valve in November of 2007 and on April 2, 2008 after multiple heart surgeries she passed away at home. All are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday at 9 AM at the Lawson Rd. Church of Christ (25 Lawson Rd.). Interment Riverside Cemetery.
