Spencerport: April 20, 2015. Predeceased by wife, Mary L. (DeWaele) Gaetano; daughter, Diane Warner. Survived by his daughter, Carol (Ernie) Arnold; grandchildren, Michael Passe (Steven Tyler), Nicole Passe, Rebecca (Stuart) Kilbride, Peter (Jessica) Warner, Teri Campbell; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews dear friends. No prior visitation. Palmer's Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM on Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St, Spencerport. Interment St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aurora House, 2495 S. Union Street, Spencerport, NY 14559 in Palmer's memory. Palmer was born in Italy on March 25, 1923. He grew up in Rochester, NY with his parents and many siblings. Palmer served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Palmer married Mary Louise DeWaele and had two children, Carol and Diane. In time, Palmer's family grew with 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Palmer enjoyed many activities such as golf, fishing, gardening, playing cards and stamp collecting. He also liked to bake bread and chocolate chip cookies. Palmer enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and Everyone Loves Raymond on T.V. He loved cherry ice cream, black jelly beans and hated chocolate. Palmer was known to have an "it's my way or the highway" attitude and he also enjoyed saving and collecting many things. Palmer will be missed by many friends and family.
