Peter is survived by his loving wife, Angelina, nickamed Mitzi; four children, Mary Cartella, Peter Cartella, Phyllis (Greg) Siembor Frances (Orlando Rivera) Cartella; five grandchildren, Paul, Joseph Peter Cartella, Anna William Siembor; grandpuppy Paco. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jane Cartella; several nieces nephews. Donations In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to advance the treatment cure of Parkinson's Disease or the Veteran's Administration to honor assist those who have served our country. Services Friends may call on Wednesday, February 1st, 4-8 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). Peter's Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM on Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Rd. Interment at a later date. Additional Information A native of Hornell, NY, Peter served with the US Navy Seabees in the South Pacific during WWII. Peter met and married the love of his life-Angelina Ermy- upon his return to Hornell, and they raised their family in Rochester, NY. Peter Angelina celebrated 61 years of marital bliss in November, 2011. Peter was employed by the US Post Office for 28 years. He also was a salesperson at JC Penney. He was a hard worker. He enjoyed his family, loved his wife, his sweetheart. He was quiet, had a dry sense of humor and was very observant. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He wintered in Las Vegas with friends. The family would like to give their most sincere thanks for the loving care provided to Peter by the Veterans Administration- Rochester Outpatient Clinic and Home-Based Primary Care programs and the staff of St. John's Home Reservoir 2.
