Died October 22, 2015, at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family. Philip is predeceased by his sister, Lucy Zinone. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years: Grace M. (Spiotti) Christopher; loving children, Andrea (Don) Reitano, Philip Jr. (Joyce) Christopher, Denise (Bob) Malara, Paul (RosaAnn) Christopher, Patrick (Julie) Christopher; grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Reitano, Lyndsay (Jeff) Chapin, Josh (Peggy) Reitano, Jenna (Patrick) Donovan, Ashlee (Brian) Cecere, Philip III (Ciara) Christopher, Nicholas (Kelly) Malara, Rachelle Malara, Dominique (Tyler) Scaccia, Nicolette Christopher, Paulie Christopher, Maresa Christopher, Gabrianna Christopher, Sophia Christopher, 9 Great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Isabelle) Christopher; sister-in-law brother-in-law, Mary Frank Burgo; several nieces nephews. For more about Philip, visit www.aliferemembered.com Philp's visitation will be Monday 2-4 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (between 390 Long Pond Rd.). His funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Rd. followed by his interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Philip was born January 15, 1932 to his parents Thomas Josephine Christopher. Philip grew up in the Glide St. Neighborhood. In his early years Phil worked on the railroad, he then became a milk man and eventually founded, owned and ran Phil's Coffee Shop in Downtown Rochester, NY. Phil was social, passionate, always on the go and was very loving. His family meant everything to him. Family time he looked forward to included time spent during the holiday's, he especially enjoyed X-Mas day with family at his home. During the summer family time spent at the cottage included riding jet skis and four wheelers. In the winter those were replaced with snowmobiling. Phil loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, especially, deer, rabbit and goose hunting. When he wasn't hunting Phil would have fishing pole in hand. His favorite times spent on the water included his time spent Bass and Salmon Fishing. When Phil wasn't chasing game afield or in the water he could be found chasing a golf ball around various Golf Clubs in the Rochester area. Phil enjoyed taking trips to the casino. He looked forward to card games with friends and he loved a good cigar. Phil was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He enjoyed watching tv to include the Price is Right Vegas. His music interest included Italian selections and Louie Prima. He was loved and will be missed by us all.
