Philomena was born in Utica, NY. She was a 1947 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School. Philomena often spoke about her wonderful childhood and teenage years with her parents and siblings, as well as a large extended family with many aunts, uncles and cousins. She often mentioned the many simple pleasures of life during that time, including going to the movies, restaurants and coffee shops with her siblings and cousins. She loved classical music, reading, and gardening. She was an excellent cook and her culinary specialty was baked lasagna, which was always served to celebrate holidays and family birthdays. Philomena will be remembered for her gentle kindness, beautiful smile and for being a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend to many.
