Richard Thomas Brairton IV “Ricky”
N. Hills, CA:
Richard Thomas Brairton IV, affectionately known as little Ricky, passed away on December 6, 2025—just one day before his 33rd birthday. His loss leaves a profound ache in the hearts of all who loved him. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Ricky grew up in Pavilion, New York, where he began a life shaped by curiosity, talent, and deep love for his family.
From a young age, Ricky threw himself wholeheartedly into the things he loved. He excelled in wrestling, baseball, and fishing—interests that reflected both his competitive spirit and his quiet, reflective nature. Academically gifted, he earned a place in the National Honor Society. Before attending Monroe Community College, Ricky worked as a lifeguard, a role that spoke to his discipline, maturity, and natural instinct to protect others.
Ricky had a gentle heart and a brightness that drew people in. His humor, intelligence, and warmth made him unforgettable. Growing up alongside three sisters, he was both fiercely protected and fiercely protective. Though he endured many private struggles and was often misunderstood, Ricky remained resilient, continuing to check in on those he loved and reminding them that unconditional love is what holds families together.
He is survived by his paternal grandparents, Richard (Linda) Brairton II and Diana (Bobby) Windrum; parents, Richard Brairton III and Valerie Jimerson; siblings, Mary Brairton, Monique (Marvin) Carter, Krista Brairton, and Vanessa (Erik) Lang; aunts, Barbara Brairton, Janet Dayton, and Laurie (Michael) Anderson; and uncle Steve (Theresa) Brairton, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Ricky was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lorraine and John Honea; paternal great-grandparents, Margaret and Richard Brairton and George and Mary Bush; great aunt Anna Krawecki; uncles Billy and Greg Windrum; and aunts Connie Attridge and Joanna Ames.
Ricky was a free spirit and adventurer, much like his father. His radiant soul lives on in love, in memory, and in the promise that we will meet again in eternal paradise.
The Brairton family is deeply grateful for the prayers, compassion, and support during this heartbreaking time.
Services celebrating Ricky’s life will be announced at a later date.
