In his childhood, he loved to spend time at home with his brothers and sister. At this young age he began playing sports and he started excelling at football. He met his future wife, Sandy at the age of 10 years old, through his playing football with the Greece Chargers. Bob eventually went on to play quarterback and defensive back with his high school, Aquinas. He was proud to wear that number 21. This love of football shaped Bob into an avid NY Jets fan. His parents instilled a good work ethic and he helped his father at his gas station, Cocilova and Sons. After high school, Bob married his childhood sweetheart on April 8th, 1978. Family was a prize to Bob. He had an unbreakable bond with his 3 brothers and sister. This trait revealed itself again when Sandy and Bob added their three children to their family. Family vacations were spent in Florida, Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Sporting events were always attended, both his children and grandchildren, exemplified in the three decades of attending Sunday Greece Chargers football games. Bob was most proud of his son, Richard, as he participated in football and basketball at Greece Olympia High School. Bob gave equal time to Joelle and Rena, never missing a cheerleading competition that his daughters participated in. He was the best papa to his grandchildren. Bob will be remembered as the rock and glue to his family, everyone relied upon him. His easy going and generous nature created that go to personality. This selfless spirit resulting in him being totally devoted to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
