The Life of Ronald K. Bush

July 4, 1941 – November 3, 2025

Ronald K. Bush was born on July 4, 1941- a fitting date for a man whose life was marked by family, faith, and hard work as a pipefitter. Every birthday was special for Ron, not just because it fell on Independence Day, but because it reflected his joyful, generous spirit and love for bringing people together.

Ron was proud of his Lebanese Heritage and carried forward warmth, hospitality, and deep sense of family that came with it. He built a life centered on love, faith, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures- the kind that make every day feel like a blessing.

He married the love of his life, Annette, and together they built a family and a home filled with laughter, kindness, and care for 42 years. Ron’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially during the holidays when everyone gathered around the table. After dinner, he could always be found playing cards surrounded by those he loved most.

Ron worked hard throughout his life and was known for his thoughtfulness, generosity, and gentle nature. His sense of humor and easygoing presence made him a joy to be around.

Whether tending to his garden, cheering on his beloved Buffalo Bills, or relaxing at Lake Bluff Campground in Sodus, Ron found happiness in the quiet, meaningful moments that make up a well-lived life.

He loved visiting Florida during the winters, chatting with his cronies at the YMCA, and faithfully reading the newspaper – every page, front to back, often more than once while relaxing in his heated/massage Barcalounger.

A car enthusiast at heart, Ron proudly bought his son, Jay his first car: a 1969 red and black Chevy Nova. Ron was also honored to be Jay’s best man at his wedding.

While Ron had a special fondness for all fruits—particularly grapes—and never passed up a Wahlburger, his favorite simple pleasure was pita bread slathered with peanut butter.

He was also a man of faith who found strength and comfort in the words of Joel Osteen. His favorite saying, one he shared often, summed up his spirit perfectly: “Thank you for our many, many blessings. God Bless!”

Ron Bush lived his life with gratitude, patience, and a peaceful heart. He was a devoted husband, loving father and Papa, loyal friend and a man whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the laughter shared at family gatherings and in every quiet moment of thankfulness for life’s many, many blessings.
