October 2, 2017. Rose is predeceased by her husband Anthony Guarino; sister Angela Iacobelli brother Daniel Iacobelli. Rose is survived by her sons, Glenn (Lorel Jo) Guarino Gregg (Kathleen) Guarino; grandchildren, Susanna, Anthony, Joseph, Nicholas Michael Guarino; sister Vella (Patrick) Bianchi; brothers-in-law sister-in-law, Patrick M. Bianchi, Don U. Guarino Helen Guarino; several nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends. Rose was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 6th, 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave., immediately followed by her interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to a charity of one's choice. Rose was born August 5, 1928 in Rochester NY. Her parents Peter Mary Iacobelli raised their family in the Jones Ave. neighborhood across from Edgerton Park and later moved the family to 3532 Dewey Ave. During Rose's childhood years she quickly became noted for being very well organized and was studious in the classroom and at home while she was completing her homework. Her foundation of being a good student in grade school followed her into high school. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1946. Others began to take notice of her hard work and all that she had worked towards. She left Jefferson HS a member of the National Honor Society and she also received the Good Citizenship Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution. Rose's education didn't end with her graduation from Jefferson HS. She graduated from the University of Rochester, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Foreign Languages. She was a member of Phi Sigma Iota, National Honor Society and Sigma Kappa Upsilon Sorority. Her organization, strong sense for business and attention to detail became an asset to her employers. Immediately after college, Rose worked for Ritter Pfaudler. Rose then served as an administrative assistant to the head of International Advertising at Eastman Kodak Company. Later, she found herself responsible for correspondence, payroll and bookkeeping for Patrick Bianchi. Rose was introduced to the love of her life Anthony Guarino. The two were married in 1956 at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Their family grew to include two loving sons Glenn Gregg. Rose was a true pioneer. She was highly educated women in her day. Rose was also highly and accomplished in business. However, she was most proud of her family. Spending time with family around the holidays and time vacationing in the Catskills were the true treasures of her life. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was a member of the Cloverleaf Squares Silver Squares square dancing clubs. Rose was an avid reader. She enjoyed listening to the radio. She especially enjoyed Patsy Cline Daniel O'dea. Rose will be best remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was generous, organized, independent, brave, strong, intelligent and was devoted to family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
