Chili: On Monday, January 11, 2016, after a brief illness, at age 83. Rose was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Basil Marasco; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Cusenz, and brothers, Michael and Leonard Zaccaglino. She is survived by her children: daughter, Ann Marie (Rick) LeFrois, and sons, Basil, Peter and Angelo (Rachel) Marasco; grand-daughters, Dakota Marasco, Megan Marasco and Lindsey LeFrois, and great-grand-daughter, Kailynn Bower; by her sister-in-law, Shirley Zaccaglino; niece, Michele Zaccaglino, and nephews, Len, Mark (Lymarie) and Ron (Amy) Zaccaglino; by members of her husband's extended family, and by several cousins in Italy. Rose is survived also by her loving pet cat, "Shadow"; by devoted friends, Lyn Aude, Carol Lantz and Harold LeBoeuf, and by several helpful good neighbors, as well as remaining members of the Genesee Street Reunion Group. Rose was an employee of Rochester Telephone, St. John's Nursing Home and, later in life, Wegman's Markets. Strong Memorial Hospital (Unit 7-1400, with extra thanks to Lauren, Alex, Jen and Dr. Kessler) and St. John's Home (Hastings Bldg., 3rd floor) are gratefully acknowledged for their exemplary care. Private services were held.
