April 10, 2019. Rose was predeceased by her husband Frank Paris; siblings, Mary Stevenson, Anthony Mentesana K9 companion Sunny. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Maria) Paris Angela (James) Gianni; grandchildren, Joseph Paris, Jr., Anthony Paris, Rachel Gianni Jessy Gianni; brother Frank Mentesana. Also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews dear friends. Rose's celebration of life will be held, Saturday, April 20th, 12-4 PM at Charlotte Square, 50 Charlotte St. Her burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be privately held with her family. Rose was born in 1932, the third of four children in a close-knit Italian American family. She loved books, music, dancing, politics, friends and her family. Rose's warm, caring nature and ever present smile endeared her to everyone she met. Her very best friend, Lucille Morrell, grew up just down the street and they spent many happy childhood days together. Lucille was maid of honor at Rose's wedding and they remained friends throughout her life, visiting each other often in NY Colordao. They'd talk on the phone for hours in their 80's just as they had at 18. Rose first met the love of her life in grade school when he played the part of George Washington in a school play. They both graduated from Jefferson High School in 1950. After graduation Rose Frank began their lifelong love affair, marrying in 1958 and remaining together until Frank's death in 1989. He would be her "one and only love" because as Rose said often "no one else could ever compare.." Rose began her working career at Kodak Park when she was 20 years old. She worked there as an Administrative Assistant until she was married in 1958. In 1959 she was overjoyed at the birth of her son, Joseph and in 1962 her daughter, Angela. Rosie was a devoted wife, mother and later, grandmother. Her family was her #1 priority and she lovingly cared for all of us. After her children began school, Rose took a part time job at #30 school where she quickly became a much loved "lunch lady". In 1980 she started working at Rochester Products on Lexington Ave where she worked on the assembly line and made many dear friends, especially, Porter, Bert, Danny Kathy. A prolific baker, Rose would often bring in homemade specialties for her co workers to enjoy. She was especially noted for her delicious spinach pizza, wandies and strawberry pie. A lifelong Democrat, Rose was never shy about sharing her political opinions and was very proud of her often published letters to the editor. After her retirement from General Motors, Rosie enjoyed traveling , shopping, her beloved dog, Sunny and spending time with her family. Rosie helped to care for all four of her grandchildren. She was always there to lend a hand or an ear, never judging only guiding and loving. She was an integral part of all of our lives and we are so much richer for having known her. Rosie was caring, generous, lovely, vivasious feisty! She will be dearly missed!
