Weidman, Rose F. (Ceterski) Greece: April 19, 2014. Predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Smith, John Hathorne, Reid Weidman. Survived by her daughter, Robin (Michael) Monaghan; granddaughter, Heather Koch; sisters, Dorothy Smith, Nancy (Roger) DeBurgomaster step-daughter, Marilyn (Mark) Urbonas; several nieces nephews. Rose's funeral mass will be Friday at 9:30 am at Our Mothers Of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd, Rochester. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park. Rose grew up in a neighborhood on Hudson Ave. During her childhood she enjoyed being the big sister to her younger siblings and going to movies. She began school at the age of 4, graduated at the age of 16 at Franklin High School. Rose was a Girl Scout leader, active in St. Stanislaus functions and groups, polish dances and Debbie Reynolds fan. Rose received her Masters Degree in Education at SUNY Brockport. Rose taught in the Greece School District. She enjoyed teaching second grade for 33 years. Rose loved the holidays. Her home would be decorated for every season and holiday. She enjoyed family picnics, and parties in her home. Rose was very excited about becoming a grandmother to Heather, and watching Heather graduate from High School. Rose was a friend of Bill W. Some of Rose's favorite activities included reading, travel, loved all animals, raised and showed Old English Sheep Dogs, competed with various Dog Shows across the state, going out for dinner. She loved going for coffee at Tim Horton's. She loved shopping, especially Black Friday with family, dancing, summer outdoor concerts at Charlotte beach, working in her garden, she volunteered at the LPGA for 10 + years. Rose watched Ice Skating Shows on TV, Days of Our Lives, musicals, all types of music but country because Robin and Heather took her to the concerts. Family and friends would best describe Rose as Intelligent, loving, fun, generous, compassionate, never forgot a face, thoughtful, social, always put others ahead of herself, and non-judgmental. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
