After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Survived by his Loving Wife of 55 years, Theresa (Schiavone) Cravatta; daughters, Carol (Thomas) Such, Theresa (Michael) Nicolosi; son, Thomas (Amy) Cravatta; and Dawn (Cravatta) Hurd; grandchildren, Stephannie, Robert and Thomas Cravatta, Nicole and Natalie Such, Anthony and Ashley Nicolosi; sisters, Linda (Wick) Smith, Sandra Duffy; brother, Richard (Christine) Cravatta; in-laws, Jeanette (Bruce) Tehan, Rosie (Frank) O'Green, Ann (Hank) Valerych, Mary Yacono, Mario Maloni, Ida (Michael) Adamus; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Russell was retired from Pulsafeeder, Inc. after 42 years and was an Army Veteran serving in Korea from 1959-1960. The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Woodlock, staff and volunteers at Oncology at St. Mary's and Aurora House, for their wonderful support and care. Services Russell's visitation will be Sunday 2-6 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 11:30 AM at St. Mark's Church, 54 Kuhn Rd. Rochester, NY 14612. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Additional Information Russ is 76 years old, came to Aurora House on 6/2 with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver. In recent weeks he has declined rather quickly and his family has reached outto us for help with his care. Russ and wife, Theresa, have been married for 55 years and have 3 children, Carol, Terri Tom--all who live in this area. Another son passed away a few years ago from cancer. Russ has a sister living nearby, Linda, xo she will be a familiar face here as well. Russ retire from Pulsafeeder, working at factory jobs throughout his life. He Theresa have traveled to Italy, Hawaii, Florida and roamed the East Coast of the US. One story he is proud of telling has to do with a 3 lb. lobster he caught, and subsequently ate, during one of their trips. He enjoys the Bills Yankees, loves to watch the Food Network and the old movies on the AMC channel. He has always enjoyed food---in fact any casino trip he took was centered around the food at the buffet! Russ is self described "devout Catholic" and looks forward to his visits with the priests from his parish, St. Marks.
