Sally was born on February 8, 1943. Sally's father died in France during WWII when she was 1 year old. Sally was later adopted by her father, Richard White and she had many fond memories about going to the farm where she grew up and spent time with her grandmother cooking and baking. Sally was described by her children as the "rock" in her family. Her children always came first and after they grew up, she was very excited to become a "Granny." Sally loved to spoil her grandchildren and helped take care of them as long as she was able to.
Sally enjoyed going to Florida to see her mother and sister. She also enjoyed traveling to Nashville with her friends, Connie and Richard. Sally loved the holidays and decorated her house with many decorations that she made in ceramics classes. She worked as a Secretary at B.O.C.E.S. Preschool. Sally also generously gave her time volunteering at her church and at Aurora House Hospice. Some of her favorite T.V. shows were Law and Order, Dr. Phil and she was a big fan of the 70's 80's shows, Knots Landing and Dallas.
Sally has been described as a Trooper. She tried very hard to not let her breathing problems slow her down. She strived to be independent and was up and active until the very end. Sally will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many family and friends.
