Salvatore J. Noto

Sal passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the age of 63.Predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Patricia Noto, and his sister, Andrene Tomkosky. Salvatore is survived by his son, Michael Noto, and daughter, Jessica Noto Brown (Jacob); granddaughter, Isabella Marie Brown; brother, Steven Noto (Andrea); sister, Gina Karshick (Kurt); mother of his children, Jeanine Gardone; aunts, Rosemary and Sarah; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Salvatore was a graduate of SUNY Potsdam, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and was an All-Conference defenseman on the lacrosse team. He went on to obtain his Master of Science in Education from Nazareth College and his Master of Science in Educational Administration from Canisius College. His passion for education led him to a career in teaching and administration across several school districts, spending most of his time at Dake Middle School in West Irondequoit, his alma mater, and at Greece Olympia High School. He coached cross country, wrestling, and lacrosse at West Irondequoit, and he cherished coaching his children in soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and basketball throughout the years. Along the way, he served as a mentor to many through his professional and personal endeavors. He was an avid triathlete and enjoyed staying active throughout his life. After retiring from education, he shifted his passion for helping others into the business world, where he owned and operated a successful gutter company.

Sal had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. He was happiest spending time with family and friends, taking walks to the beach, working on projects around his home, and watching the Miami Dolphins-almost always with Billy Joel playing in the background.

Sal had an incredible zest for life. It was reflected in everything he did: in his passion for helping others, his fierce love for his children, family, and friends, his work, and his willingness to help anyone whose path he crossed. Whether you needed guidance, life advice, or simply a good laugh, Sal was always there. His big, beautiful smile and magnetic personality were truly one of a kind.
