GREECE - Surrounded by family, February 21, 2019 Salvatore was called into God's loving arms. Salvatore was predeceased by his parents and 10 siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Michelina (Tramontana) Ragusa; children, Mary C. (Robert) Bellanti, Alba D. (Anthony F.) Alonci Sylvester (Patricia) Ragusa; grandchildren, Salvatore (Andrea) Alonci, Tony (Lydia) Alonci, Michael (Rozalin) Alonci, Jenna (Brian) Sprague, Lisa Bellanti, Charlie (Marissa) Ragusa Joanna Bellanti; great-grandchildren, Anthony Alonci, Nathan Alonci, Jeffrey Pyles, Lena Sprague, Carly Sprague, Alex Alonci, Dexter Alonci, Jaxon Alonci, Anna Alonci, Anthony Alonci; several nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends. Special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers who assisted Salvatore. Salvatore was a tailor in Italy and was recruited by Bonds Clothes here in America. He left Italy to come to the United States at the age of 30.He and his wife Michelina were married in 1954 and grew a strong and loving family. Salvatore lived and breathed for his family. He loved all family gatherings, even more so once the grandchildren were born. His favorite past times included photography, card playing, making clothing for his family, drawing, eating ripped up Italian bread in his coffee every morning, dancing and playing checkers. He loved Italian music, watching Dancing With the Stars, Soccer and classic movies. Salvatore was a hard worker, had a great sense of humor, was strongwilled, but loving. He was a great storyteller, never complained and never spoke an unkind word about anyone. Salvatore's Life Story will be shared during his visitation, Thursday, February 28th, 2-4 6-8 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (Between 390 Long pond rd.). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 1st, 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 Ridge Rd. W., immediately followed by his entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Alzheimers Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in Salvatore's memory.
