Sandy was born on December 14, 1957 to John & Eleanor Veltre in Rochester, NY. During her youth, Sandy attended dance school and was a Greece Charger cheerleader for 8 years. This is where she met her best friend and the love of her life, Bobby. Sandy graduated from Greece Olympia High School in 1976. She and Bobby were married on April 8th, 1978 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Greece. They went on to have 3 children, Joelle, Ricky and Rena, who are forever her pride and joy. Sandy worked as a Teacher's Assistant at Westside Academy. Her students loved her for being patient, kind, not rushed, ready to listen and always willing to help. Sandy's world revolved around her family. Sandy loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren regardless if they were being cozy on the couch or going away on vacation together. Sandy loved watching football, especially her favorite team, the Jets, but nothing could compare to the joy she had while watching her son and later her grandsons play. Sandy's daughters followed in her footsteps, as they were both cheerleaders for many years and she was for sure their number one and loudest fan. We have no doubt that Sandy will continue to watch over her grandchildren as they grow. Sandy was described by others as a good listener, very social, bubbly, genuine, selfless and a great role model, she would also describe herself as "Happy-go-Lucky." Sandy loved fiercely as people could feel this by her affectionate love for them. Sandy will forever be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her many family and friends.
