Steve's parents Donald Helen Ross made their family home in Brighton. Steve Graduated from Brighton High School in 1961. He later attended the Humboldt Institute in MN and went to auctioneering school.

Steve loved antique cars, race cars and he raced cars at many different tracks across the country.
On one particular night Steve's life would change. While at the Fireside Inn Brenda's roommate went up to Steve and coerced a meeting of the two. It was love at first sight for Brenda, however Steve moved a little bit slower. Over time the two began a courtship that lasted for nearly 11 years. On April 1, 1978 the two were married in Barre Center.
Steve had a love of cars. He received his first Model T at the age of 15 and still has this car today. He collected and raced cars. His racing pursuits took him in many directions most notably the Daytona 24 Hour Race. Steve loved to drive and was most proud of his cross country trip in his Model T with his brother Don.
Steve's favorite quote was "let me tell ya a little story" he loved Willie Nelson and when watching tv some of his favorites included old movies, Pickers and anything to do with antiques.
Steve was very social, a good talker, considerate, kind, caring, sweet, generous and he was always a good listener. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
