Greece: Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the age of 57. Predeceased by his grandparents, Samuel & Angelina Grassadonia; father, Peter Grassadonia; brother, David Grassadonia; mother-in-law & father-in-law, William and Barb Jewett. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Denise Grassadonia; children, Alyssa (Daniel DiNatale) Grassadonia & Steven Grassadonia; mother, Carol (John "Jack" Foy) Grassadonia; brother Michael Grassadonia; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Gail Jewett-Shultis, Andrea (Kevin) Erickson, Victoria (Michael) LaMendola, and James Jewett; beloved dog, Tucker; many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Steven's life story will be shared during visitation 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 26 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00am on Thursday at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be sent to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450 in his memory. Steven P. Grassadonia Born 12/30/1963 in Rochester, NY to Peter and Carol Grassadonia, and brother to David and Michael Grassadonia. Steve grew up in the town of Charlotte, attending Holy Cross and School Number 42. As a child, he enjoyed playing hockey, fishing with his father and grandfather, as well as taking trips down to his family property in the Southern Tier. They called this their, "Ponderosa". He also loved riding his 'Big Wheel.' Steve attended Charlotte High School and graduated in 1982. He played for the school's soccer team. He also played the piano fluently and was a lover of music. All things Billy Joel and Journey were two of his favorites. He also enjoyed listening to country music too. Steve went on to meet his future wife, Denise, at the age of 16 in 1980. After graduating high school, Steve then went on to college and attended MCC. He worked as a security guard for Xerox while attending classes. He also took positions with Sporting Dog and Transcat. Steve then married his wife, Denise on November 7th, 1987. He and his wife traveled with friends to many different destinations until having their two children, Alyssa, and Steven. He raised his family in Greece, NY. He was an avid gardener, taking immense pride in that. He eventually took a position with Wright Beverage and worked for them for 15 years. Due to health reasons, Steve was forced to take an early retirement. Steve was a kindhearted soul who loved everyone and always saw the good, in people. He loved his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Tucker. Steve was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
