Additional Information
Sue was born on January 2, 1915 in Cuyleville, NY. Her parents were Michael and Raphele Rose. She spent some of her childhood there then moved to Rochester, NY, where she graduated high school. Her brothers and sisters were, Angelo, Rose, Lucy, Billy, Josephine, Mary Ann, Albert and Mauro. When growing up, she liked baseball and golf. She used to go with her Dad to all the baseball games, and she liked to read.
Sue went to the dances at Charlotte and there is where she met Michael, and where married for 66 years as of 16 years ago when Michael passed. The greatest day was when they had their two daughters, Marlene and June. She worked in a coal mine and at the Genesee Brewery and was a housewife. She worked all her life, and even in a bakery, both in Rochester and Las Vegas.
Sue was very close to her brothers and sisters and their families. She was proud to be a grandmother to 6, a great-grandmother to 12 and a great-great-grandmother to 3, and all of their spouses.
She enjoyed sports, church, bingo and bowling. She saw the New York Yankees play in Toronto, Canada in 1997, that team was her favorite. She liked to dance, and she won a dance contest with her brother Mauro. She did not like pets, even though her daughters did. Sue and Michael loved to travel to Las Vegas. Her favorite show was Wheel of Fortune, and she also participated in a Wheel of Fortune show in Las Vegas.
Her girls use to say that Sue's goal in life was to keep Dad, June and Marlene happy, and to always, always have a clean house. Sue will be greatly missed by all.
