Survived by her husband, Leone "Leo" Ventrella; children, Leona Ventrella, Kim (Joe) Argenta, Sara (Daniel) O'Brien; grandchildren, Michael (Tina) Ventrella, Shannon (Jeff) Bryant, Joey Argenta, James Argenta, Kelly (Michael) Phelps, Cuyler (Amanda) O'Brien; 7 great-grand children; siblings, Mary (Chris) LaDelfa, Chris (Linda) Tuttobene; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rita Tuttobene, Jim (Carole) Ventrella, Nick Ventrella, Catherine Kneiss; several nieces nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd). Sue's funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave, Rochester. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Attn: Memorial Donations, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163 in Sue's memory.
Sue was one of 9 children and worked on the family farm in Elba, NY. She played field hockey at Batavia High School and was a Greece Cadets chaperone from 1973 - 1978. She was a member of St. Charles Borreomeo church. She met Leo while working at Otto-Burns and they were married for 62 years. They resided in Greece for 58 years. After 27 years as a Quality Coordinator, she retired from Xerox.
Sue enjoyed holidays, especially Christmas, being with family, and celebrating birthdays. Her hobbies included travel, playing bingo, games of chance, dancing, and playing cards. Her family gave her the most joy in life.
Those who knew Sue would best describe her as strong willed, "small but mighty", social, and as having a take-charge personality. She will greatly missed..
