History He is survived by his wife of 56 years, LuVerne "Lu" (Elert) Atkins; children, Karen Atkins, Mark (Karen) Atkins; grandchildren, Renae Atkins, Michael Atkins; several nieces nephews. Terry was a Korean War Veteran in the Air Force. He was a fuel systems design engineer at General Motors for 44 years. He was a kind, gentle and loving husband, father grandfather. He enjoyed canoeing, hiking and camping. The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff at St. John's Home. Services Terry's visitation will be Saturday 10-11 AM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). His funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
