Rochester, NY: July 14, 2013. Survived by her mother, Kris Powless; father, Willis Powless; children, Candace, Toni, Michael Sookie "Alexis"; grandsons, Anttoni "Duty" Jordan "Chief"; brother, Elliott Powless; sister, Shavon Powless; several aunts uncles. Tina's visitation will be held 6-9 PM on Friday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her funeral service will be celebrated 11AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment in Riverside Cemetery. Tina was born December 28, 1970 and weighed 7 lbs, 11 oz. She was always a very good child. She attended Scottsville schools where she excelled academically and was athletic, playing several different sports. She was also in a play there called "Yesteryear" in which she played a cheerleader. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis was a challenge for Tina, but she defied the odds and the doctor's dire predictions. Tina was married, had four children, and two grandsons with another on the way. Tina always enjoyed family gatherings and loved to go to the Elders Dinner and family picnics in Oneida. In her spare time, she liked playing tennis and watching cartoons with her grandsons. Some of her favorite things included Derek Jeter, Pitbull, Duty, and Jo Jo. She was often heard saying "I got this". Tina took care of everybody from her grandmother-in-law to her grandsons. She never said no to anyone, especially her children and grandchildren. Tina touched so many lives with her encompassing compassion that will be missed for a long time.
