Chili: Surrounded by her family at her home. Virginia M. Ventura peacefully ascended into the arms of the Lord on November 21, 2014. Virginia is predeceased by her devoted loving husband of 67 years, Harold E. Ventura, her parents, John Eleanor Schraml, sister, Dorothy Frank. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Pettrone Joan (Michael) Krupnicki; grandchildren, Andrew Krupnicki, Alea Pettrone, Jenah Pettrone, Sunny Krupnicki; brothers, Charles (Audrey) Schraml Jack Schraml; sisters in-law, Betty Arnone Maryann Marcinkowski; special nieces, nephews cousins; dearest of friends and her furry 4 legged granddaughters, Bella Paisly. A heart-felt thank you to niece, Chris Geen- RN from the Aurora House, with her expertise in assisting with the home hospice care. Her gentle, sweet ways were greatly appreciated. A special thank you to our Lifetime Care health nurse, Cara for her compassionate exceptional support to the family in their moments of need.
Virginia's visitation will be Monday 2-4 PM 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.). Her funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Pius the X Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Virginia grew up in Rochester, NY and lived in the neighborhood around Emerson Glide Street. When Virginia was a child she liked roller skating, bowling ice skating. During her teenage years, Virginia went to work to help support her family. When she became an adult, Virginia loved being around children so she became a school bus driver and retired after 40 years of service. The children that rode on her bus called her "Miss Ginny."
When recalling how Virginia and her husband Harold met, their children say that "Virginia caught Harold's eye" and they fell in love. Virginia and Harold were married at Holy Family Church on August 16, 1946. Some of Virginia's special events remembered by her family included Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings, as well as family birthday parties. Virginia loved to babysit her grandchildren and she always had a filled candy jar in her home. Virginia kept a very clean house, always washing ironing. She enjoyed playing crossword puzzles and playing cards, such as games of chance. Virginia loved eating hard candies Abbotts ice cream. She also liked dancing, smoking, shopping, and eating burgers at Bill Grays restaurant. Virginia's favorite song was Crazy by Patsy Klein. She enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk Show on T.V. and was a New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan.
Virginia was known to be particular about her appearance, always wore earrings with a matching necklace. She was also described as witty, traditional, patient and she loved to feed others. Virginia will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones and friends.
