Services Walter's visitation will be held 4-8PM on Wednesday, July 7th at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte. 390 Long Pond Rd.) His funeral service will be celebrated 10AM on Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment Riverside Cemetery. Additional Information Walter was a retired City of Rochester Firefighter was a former Fireman of the Year recipient. He was also an Army Veteran, serving as an MP. In his younger years, he worked for the US Coast Guard at the Pentagon. Walter's family would like to thank the City of Rochester Fire Department for taking care of one of their own. His career was cut short due to the McCurdy's Fire the department was supportive ever since that day. Walter will be remembered as a smart, sweet friendly person. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed collecting and lecturing about American Indian Artifacts.
