GREECE - Passed away November 8, 2022 at the age of 87. He is predeceased by his parents, Anthime and Georgianna, infant son, Paul Joseph, and sister, Jacqueline Begin [Levesque] and brother-in-law Arthur Begin. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ann Levesque [Langlois]; their three children; Susan (Russell) Pratt; David (Jeanette) Levesque; and Mark (Joyce) Levesque, and their seven grandchildren; Caitlin (Derek); Claire (Ryan); Alyssa (Reagan); Kyle; Rhys; Michaela; Josh; and three great-grandchildren, Melody, Emma and Kora; brother, Robert (Connie) Levesque, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Fall River, Mass., Bill grew up in New England and Canada. He attended Catholic schools, was fluent in both French and English and was an exceptional skater, having played hockey in his youth. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1954-1959; and then the Maine Air Guard from 1959-1962, rising to the rank of Captain. Utilizing the G.I. Bill, he attended the University of Maine - earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. His academic success was recognized by his induction into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He was recruited by Eastman Kodak Company and moved to Rochester, NY where he worked 29 years - from 1962 to 1991. Bill managed payroll operations for Kodak's Elmgrove facility, located in the town of Gates. When not working, Bill was an avid sailor. Over many years, he transitioned through 2 sailboats and a cabin cruiser, navigating Lake Ontario and the New York State canal system, sharing the adventure with his wife, Ann. Bill was also an accomplished furniture maker. Having assembled a well-equipped basement workshop, he made many pieces from scratch, including bedroom sets for his grandchildren and complimentary pieces to match a set purchased from Stickley Furniture. The family would like to thank the Wegman Cottages staff for their kindness and care. Bill and Ann entered the Cottages skilled nursing facility in 2020, just days ahead of the Covid shutdown. Though they were isolated from family and friends due to Covid protocols, they were able to spend time together each day - which was a blessing. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Robb. For over 45 years, Dr. Robb has provided medical care for the family. Whether in the early morning hours or late at night, Dr. Robb was known to be at Unity Hospital and the Wegman Cottages providing comfort and care to our parents - in addition to his own practice office hours. The family is grateful for his exceptional care over the many years. William's life story will be shared during his visitation on Wednesday, November 16th from 1-4 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (between Rt 390 & Long Pond Rd). His Funeral Mass will be held, Thursday, November 17th at 9:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo, 3003 Dewey Avenue, Rochester. Private interment is planned at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
