Salvatore was born on October 6, 1950 in Oppido Mamertina, Italy, to Santo and Maria Panella. He moved to the United States in 1968 at the age of 18. He attended trade school and went to work in the Tool & Die industry. After some time living in the States, Salvatore returned to Italy. Upon his arrival back to Italy, Salvatore was introduced to Giulia…. And the rest is history. They married and lived in the United States with their 4 children, Maria, Salvatore, Giuseppe and Francesca.

Salvatore was a hard worker, but during his free time, he enjoyed gardening, soccer and following the Rochester Rhinos. Family was very important to Salvatore, some of his favorite times in life were spending time with his grandchildren. He was very social, had a good sense of humor and was always upbeat. Salvatore was known to be honest, loyal, generous and cherished many dear friends throughout his life. He was described to have always “Lived by the Golden Rule” and loved by anyone who met him.  Salvatore will be deeply missed by all who knew him; he meant the world to his family and will always be fondly remembered by his loving family and friends.
