Cataldo was born to his parents Giuseppe & Nunzia, March 12, 1927 in Corato, Italy.

In 1950 Cataldo took his trade of shoe repair and made his way to Venezuela. He was seekig to better himself and was quickly successful there. In 1960 Cataldo made a decision that would forever change his life. He returned home to Italy.

It was there on one fateful day that he met the love of his life Vincenza Quercia. Their whirlwind romance began and 2 months and 13 days later the two were married. Cataldo always yearned to make a better life for Vincenza and their children. On september 16th, 1973 their family made their way to the US.

Cataldo had a very strong work ethic. His craft of repairing shoes followed him and he soon opened Roma Shoe Repair. He didn't drive a car and would ride his bike to work everyday, rain, snow, sleet or hail.

Family was central to everything in Cataldo's life. Sunday dinners, Christmas Eve and New Years Day were all days he always looked forward to. When Cataldo wasn't spending time with his family he enjoyed spending time at the AMITA Club and in his later years working in his vegetable gardens at home.

Free time for Cataldo found himself enjoying watching soccer and listening to various types of music. Some of his favorite music included: Opera, Spanish, Big Band and Marching Band music.

His loving nature, sense of humor, fearless atttitude will be missed by all who knew andloved him.
