  1. Thank you John Kinane for sharing Al Saia’s obituary on facebook for those of us who moved away from Rochester. I found the post today and after reading it I’ve found myself thinking of the Saia family and all my great memories of home. Warmest hugs and deepest symptathy to Mike and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Shari

  2. To Marge, Ann, Chuck and Mike, Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of Al. We are so sorry for not hearing about his passing. We just found out today and wish we could have been present to offer our support. Al was a wonderful relative. May he go with God. Ron and Mary Torcello

  3. I lit a candle for you here and at St. Anthony’s in honor of your warmth and gentleness. You were like a brother to me and I will miss you very much. You were always so kind, never a harsh word and always a great big bear hug.You are gone but will never be forgotten.

  4. “When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation, and take me home, what JOY shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, and then proclaim: ‘My God, how great Thou art!'”

  5. It is with deepest sympathy that I light this candle in the memory of my cousin, Alphonse (Al) Saia. I am so happy that I was able to see him on his last visit to Central Florida when he came to see his brother Sal. I will cherish the time that we spent together. May his soul rest in peace in the arms of Jesus. May God continue to bless, comfort and encourage the rest of the family now during this most difficult time and always. Love to all and once again, my deepest and most sincere condolences.

  6. To My Godfather,
Your Strength and Perseverance Always Impressed me.
May your Spirit soar high above, as you watch over us All.
    Many Blessings
    Lisa

  7. To My beloved brother AL – I will miss you! You have been such an inspiration for all of us – your smile , your warmth, your hugs, your devotion to God and His Mother Mary, the importance of family and friends and your beautiful music! You have taught us all SO much and have been such a special part of our lives for so many years! Heaven truly has gained another angel! Know how much you are loved and missed! “What a Beautiful Life a BROTHER Is”! When we hear your music, we know you are with us — so may it play on and on and on!
Love – Your lil Sis Marian and Family

  8. Dear Marge, we are very sorry to hear of Al’s death. We are in Florida but he is in our thoghts and prayers. Don and Rosemary

  9. At one of Marie West’s organ parties, Al shared this story with me.
Seems Al was to play a party for a person who had not heard him play, and worried that Al would be able to do the job. This gentleman kept asking Al if he could play all the requests, if he had enough playing experience, etc. The man followed Al as he set up, and continued to ask questions. When Al was all set to play, he pulled out one of the old “Play by Letter strips and affixed it to his keyboard in front of the man. He then said if he could figure out where middle “C” was everything would be fine. Al said the look on the mans face was worth a million dollars. A great example of a great musicians wonderful sense of humor.

  10. So sorry for your loss. Think of what the Lord and heavens have gained; they will be enjoying his musical talents for eternity! Our prayers are with you.

  11. We will miss Al at the hunting camp and the card table. He had a positive influence and an upbeat attitude with everyone he came into contact. He was a great guy.

  12. REMEMBERING THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF TIMES TOGETHER AND THE LAUGHTER. DAD, YOU ENJOYED LIFE TO THE FULLEST WHETHER WITH FAMILY, FRIENDS OR THROUGH YOUR MUSIC. I WILL MISS YOUR WONDERFUL LAUGH AT A SILLY JOKE AND MOST OF ALL THAT “BEAR HUG” WHEN EVER SAYING HELLO….ALWAYS IN MY HEART……AMY

  13. To MY BIG BROTHER, you were the GREATEST. We will miss your talent and humor. We will love you forever! Your lil Bro and loving Sister-in-Law Sal & Margaret Saia

  14. He was truly a beautiful person. You always felt so loved when with him, no matter how much time had passed. Love and prayers to the family.
