  1. Dear Cathy and Steve, I just heard of your father’s passing. I’m so sorry for your loss and the loss to the entire community. His influence rippled through this community like a pebble through the water. Cathy, you coached my daughter Jennifer and knew I was a beginning “mom” coach. You took me to a coaching clinic with some of the best coaches and long time players. Way over my head but I certainly learned. That sent me on a 20 year sojourn. My family still plays in adult leagues. And Steve, I always thought you were an excellent ref. Honestly, I was talking to my players. Your dad’s love of the game showed through you. Thanks to him and all of you. Gerry

  2. More than 50 years ago I was the Milne’s D&C paperboy on Merrill St..Andy interduced me to the game of soccer and took me to Charlotte to play with the Rangers. I learned the game and still love it. Played in District and leagues up to 3 years ago. Had to quit after hip replacement. Still recall trip to Auburn for the McKinley cup. Of course I was under age, so I had soda. Sorry to hear of Andy’s passing. I can thank him for passing on the sport, which I too handed down. All the soccer friendships created over 50 years are thanks to him taking the time with a 14 year old kid.

  3. Dear Joan, Cathie, Andy and Steve, You have my sincere sympathy at this difficult time. I knew Andy from Kodak Park where we talked often, and during my kids soccer years when he was coach, and a good one too. I just returned from Andy’s service and he would have loved it. I was honored for the opportunity to say a few words about him. You guys planned today’s service perfectly. This year my sunflowers along Long Pond Road will bloom in honor of my friend Andy. You folks remain in my thoughts and prayers.

  4. To the Milne family. I am sending you all my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Andy was a great man and was well thought of. He’ll be missed by all who knew him. RIP Andy!

  5. So very sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with The Milne Family during this very difficult time.

  6. We both had the pleasure of working with Andy at Kodak. He had a great sense of humor, and was a pleasure to know. He taught Ron many things about the game of soccer. He taught Kathy about the peculiarities of the Cornish peoples’ accent. Andy was a great guy. May he rest always in the arms of the Lord. Ron & Kathy Chapman

  7. Mr. Milne was my soccer coach for many years in Greece soccer. He was both a good coach and a good guy from whom I learned much. My condolences to Mrs. Milne, Cathie, Andy, and Steve.
