September 14, 2013. Predeceased by his wife, Diane Vissa. Angelo is survived by his son, Barry (Cindy) Vissa; daughters, Melody Fox and Tammy Vissa; grandchildren, Kimberly, Robert, Alexander, Barry Jr., and David Vissa; great-grandchildren, Hunter Blake Malick-Vissa, Jayden Angelo Malick-Vissa; brother, Mario Vissa; Many nieces nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-7 PM at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) Angelo's Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 11 AM St. Joseph Church, 39 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield, NY 14526. Interment White Haven Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Foundation, Inc., 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580. Angelo was born February 8, 1928 to Eugene and Regina and was the youngest of nine siblings. The family had immigrated from Itally and settled in the Bronx in 1927, and Angelo was born shortly thereafter. The family later owned a farm near Wynantskill, NY.  Angelo served in the US Navy as a ship's cook, and outside the military was an auto mechanic and owner of two service stations. He met his wife, Diane, at the White Tower Restaurant. Together they raised 3 wonderful children. Angelo was a caring father, loving husband, and beloved grandfather. Some of Angelo's favorite activities included planting and harvesting. He loved being out in the fields or the garden. He enjoyed hunting and loved farm animals, especially horses. He also loved dogs, including Blackie, Smokie, and Samuel. Angelo was also a sports fan and especially liked the Mets. Family and friends would best describe Angelo as someone who had a quick, infectious smile and laugh. He loved to joke with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
