I have many good memories of my cousin, Ann. In addition to the many holiday get-togethers of which she was a part, my favorite memory is of her at the 2005 family reunion on Keuka Lake. Some of the family members were outside on the dock or in the boat. Others were touring the wineries. But a few of us stayed in the house to prepare food. Ann asked if she could play Denise’s piano, which was in the living room. Although it was terribly out of tune, she nonetheless entertained us with her playing and singing for some time with melodious and spirited music. She brought much joy to that occasion as she had many times before with a ready smile and warm heart.

She was one of my mother’s first friends when Mom came to the US; she loved music and was kind, thoughtful and had a wonderful sense of humor.
