Papa, Anna M. (Spano) Gates: January 5, 2016. Anna was predeceased by her husband Samuel Papa. She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Al) Binsfield Gail Ann Papa; granddaughter Jennifer (Matt) Girardin; sisters, Sylvia Stevens, Sarah Howell Virginia Simard; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She also regularly attended family reunions in California. She had a strong Catholic faith and went to mass daily. Anna had diverse interests, enjoying gardening and cooking but also was an avid Yankee fan and a season ticket holder for the Rochester Red Wings. She was traditional and tough, but also had a sense of humor and was giving and loving. She will be dearly missed. Anna's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11 AM at St. Jude's Church, 4100 Lyell Rd., followed by her Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
