Danielle and Family I am so sorry for your loss please accept my sincerest condolences. When I lost Terry a friend of my sons gave this poem to him, I carry it with me always. I pray you can get some comfort from it in the same way it did for us.
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
My Dad (Robert) was best friends with Tony while growing up. I remember meeting Tony several times at the Rochester Car Show; he was always such a nice man. Our sympathy during this time of grief.
Barb, Frank, Chuck, Natalie and “the girls”…..Chuck told me earlier this week that Uncle Tony passed away after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Barb, your bother is now with Jesus, free from the cancer that took Tony away. Barb, i light this candle for your brother, Frank, for your brother-in-law, and Chuck, for your Uncle. May your memories of Tony make you smile and laugh. <3
Cindy, Even though I haven’t seen you and Tony for a number of years, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family during this difficult and sad time.
Tammy…you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We love you and are here for you. Michelle, Joe , Hailey, Kaia and Avery.
Thinking of you all during this difficult time. All my love
