Gates: August 27, 2017. Tony was predeceased by his parents Paul Lillian Palermo. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Rose Mary (Licata) Palermo; children Debbie (Mike) Mancuso Paul (Denise) Palermo; grandchildren, Michael (Kristen) Mancuso, Anthony (Fiance Caroline Baldini) Mancuso, Paul Palermo, Jr., Bianca Palermo, Adrianna Palermo, Audrey Dragoone Lauren Dragoone; great grandchildren, Domenic, Juliana, Gianna, Marilyn, Sophie Luciano; sisters, Phyllis Mantisi Pat Formicola; uncle Joe Sanfilippo, special friend Marykay Dumrese; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Tony's visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 6-8 at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.). Tony's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 12 PM at St. Helen's Church, 310 Hinchey Rd. followed by his interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Tony's memory. Anthony was born on June 29, 1930 to Paul Lillian Palermo in Rochester, NY. He grew up on Whitney street and enjoyed wrestling during his youth. Anthony graduated from Madison High School in 1948. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. After graduation, Anthony went into the Navy and then served a second term in the Marine Corps Reserves. He eventually became the owner of PAL Plastics in Perinton, NY. Anthony met his wife Rose Mary at Seabreeze Amusement Park. They got married at Annunciation Church and went on to have two children, Debbie and Paul. Anthony and Rose Mary were married for 64 years. As a family, they enjoyed many family vacations to Washington, Baltimore Maryland, New Jersey, Quebec, Montreal and fishing trips to Florida. Anthony was very active in sports as he was a baseball coach, Pop Warner football coach, scout leader and helped with construction at Guardian Angels Church School. He also spent time contributing to his community. Anthony was the President of Rochester Engineering Society, member of the Alhambra Club, volunteered at Camp Good Days Special Times and actively involved in Monroe County Water Authority, Pure Waters division. During his free time, Anthony loved to hunt, enjoyed dining out at Red Fedele's Brook House Restaurant, as his favorite dish was tripe. He also loved watching Fox News and football games on T.V. Anthony loved his family unconditionally, he was a hard worker and his main priority in life was to provide for his family, which meant everything to him. Anthony will be dearly missed and he will always be lovingly remembered and cherished by his family and friends.
