Sad news, fond memories growing up as kids in the neighborhood playing football at 43 school playground where our team comprised of mostly families playing hard having fun. The Yockels were clutch players. RIP old friend.
Please accept our sincere and heartfelt condolences. Arthur was an exceptional individual and a highly valued member of our team. He consistently demonstrated dedication and professionalism. And a positive spirit in all that he did. Beyond his role as a colleague, Arthur was a trusted friend, a dependable handyman, and a respected father figure to many. His lasting impact and contributions will not be forgotten, and he will forever be remembered with great respect and fondness –
Sincerely, NYS OPWDD Team at Latta
I’m so very sorry to hear this. I hope he didn’t suffer long. He was very dear to me although I never met him in person. He was a supplier for a company I worked for for and I talked to him every day for years. We connected with our goofy sense of humor and sarcasm. He would tell me stories and talk about his grandchildren a lot. If I was having a bad day he would turn it around instantly by making me laugh, and make it all better. When I’m feeling depressed, I always remember him singing the song “always look on the bright side of life” from Monty Python’s Life of Brian. I hope they play it at his service. I can only imagine how many people’s lives he touched. Art .. you are one of a kind. God rest your soul. ❤️🩹💔🙏 I’m praying for all your loved ones to have strength through their grief.
Arthur was a true genuine gentleman! Always had a smile and always had a story of anything you wanted to discuss.
Working with Arthur will truly be missed from his state family. Rest well sir
Artie could fill a stadium with all the lives he touched and they all would have a story to tell after meeting Art. I’ve known Artie for over 50 years and he’s never changed, a loyal, caring genuine friend. If someone mentions a friend for life, Artie’s name would be on the top of the list. He always had a great story or a joke every time you were with him. Artie will always be with me, in my heart and in my memories. Rest in peace Art.
So many of my son’s growing years are filled with wonderful memories of the Yockel family. It started in preschool and progressed through so many years of soccer. No matter the weather, the location, or the team, we could depend on Art to keep us laughing. He was a caring, kind example of finding joy in life. I take solace in knowing he’s no longer in pain and ad I said to MF, “Oh, the havoc he’ll cause in heaven!” Prayers for all who will miss him and hugs for his family. 🙏🏻💕 RIP, my friend.

We met Art through Sandra at one of many outings to Braddocks Bay to see Sandra perform. Such a sweet man. Condolences to the family. RIP Arty!
